Hey all - need some advice. I currently have an ~2006 Yamaha Upright T116 that has served me well. I figured the kids would simply use that to learn / practice however I obtained a 2011 Hardman (R143?) Petite Grand French provincial style in near mint condition in a moving sale. I’m debating which one to keep. I understand the Hardman is made in China and not as much as a “workhorse” as the T116 could be from my reading.

Will the Hardman hold up as well as the Yamaha has (and hopefully continues to)? I’m imaging moderate usage as the kids grow.

I would go with the Yamaha. It's a better quality piano so will probably hold up better and hold a tuning. The Hardman is an entry level piano, and the model you name is quite small, 4'-8", so the sound will likely not be as nice as the Yamaha.
