Today marks the 2nd anniversary of starting piano. It was on this day in 2018 that I assembled my first piano, a Roland FP30, and puzzled out my first notes from the a page with lots of lines as a 50+ year old person. It was the middle-C using Piano Marvel!

I'd meant to say more about the beauty and musicality of what we and I are doing, and the joy we derive from it, but now writing this, I'm at a loss of words.

So let me just tip my glass to those other adult beginners who are also celebrating month or year anniversaries in piano. Good luck and have fun! 🥂

Playing the piano is learning to create, playfully and deeply seriously, our own music in the world.

Wonderful! Congratulations! I should puzzle out my start date by looking at when I received delivery of a little 61 key keyboard.
