Cross-posted in other fora:

Did you know that tomorrow, Sunday, 2 February, 2002 is

20200202?

Significance? It's a palindrome (reading the same backwards and forwards), and it works for American, European and Japanese calendar systems, they say.

The next palindromic date won't occur until 3 March 3030; I don't think we'll be here then, so enjoy it while you can!

Cheers!

One could probably guess the degree of my cognitive impairment due to fever by the amount of time it took me to figure out the year was put first.

Doesn't matter! Put the month/day first, or day/month first and you get:

02022020

I'll be sure to do 2 of everything tomorrow. Or should I do 20 of everything? Or maybe I should do everything forwards and then backwards?

I've got it - contrary motion scales!

On the plus side: it is evidently enough time to learn "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini" by Rachmaninov, so what do you say: let's all have learned that one by February 3rd?

We who live in Sweden will get our next one later this year: 201102. smile

Playing the piano is learning to create, playfully and deeply seriously, our own music in the world.

If you follow the N. American tradition, the underground rodent is supposed to be an accurate forecaster of an early spring. This year the groundhog says we're going to have an early spring.

At the moment there is snow in my city. Hopefully in a few weeks winter will be done and over with. Superstition or not...
