Bow ties with yoga pants only. Animal print or camo yoga pants preferred.

If you are Lola Astanova, you can wear pajamas - very skimpy, with angel wings.

Only 1 week left until the recital opens for submissions, about 3 weeks until the deadline!

Preferably clothed.

I cannot say for Sam, but I think if I was managing the recital, links to videos with nudity would have to be removed wink
I have nothing against nudity (I am a Finn after all), but in this context it would be too much, unless very artistically done (=not really showing anything). Lola style (and whoever the male equivalent) I guess would pass:)

I was just joking above, but speaking as the recital admin, I don't really have time when taking the recital live and making the posts, etc, to look at every video link. There is usually at least one that has an error in the link or no audio or a link to the wrong video and so forth. I don't have time to censor videos either.

So I am not the video police - use your own discretion...

Looks like I will open the recital for submissions Feb 1st at 6 AM Eastern US time. That is about a day and a half from the time of this post.

I have not even thought about recording anything yet!

The prospect of people viewing my spavined, ursine groping at the instrument is altogether too repulsive. A video is therefore not remotely likely, and certainly not in the nude.

I just made 3 recordings on my cell phone of a Chopin piece. All 3 were the same length, so my tempo is consistent. However, each has things I don't like. That's OK, I'll upload the last one and you can tell me what I can do better.

I should secretly record my duet session tonight and submit something from that... except that while we play we also count out loud, stamp our feet, sing the notes, miss a page turn, stop, ask where the heck are we now, curse, go back... it would be entertaining though laugh

I will be submitting something this time, for the first time in a year. 2019 was a crazy year for me, with months without a piano. I am finally back on track, recorded, and ready to go! My recording is not perfect, but it will have to do. I still get the red dot syndrome!

Actually 13 1/2 hours from the time of this post - more or less.

Eastern time US is 5 hours behind GMT, so I think 6AM EST US is 11AM GMT.

I've been listening to two different recordings, one I made a couple of weeks ago, and one I made last night. The one from a while ago has no mistakes but there are a couple of rough areas in it which lack musicality.

My effort since then has been practising those sections and they have much improved. But the recording I did last night has a noticeable pause at one point and one overloud note that stands out. But the section that was problematic is now a lot better. Unfortunately this second recording also informs me that the first recording which I thought was good enough as a backup isn't really.

I think I am going to be joining the late submission crew. Who's with me in solidarity?

I wanted to be able to submit on the first day. Now I believe a recording will be ready next weekend.

In reality, I will probably submit 20 seconds before deadline. smile
