Bummer! My long time avatar has vanished. It looks like you can't upload them any more, just link to them externally, or use a stock one. frown So, I've switched to a stock avatar.

You seem to have a thing for animated avatars, don’t ya?

Just noticed the missing avatars, Ret. Mine is gone too. Was a pic of my former Japanese Steinway Tokai G180 grand. Supposedly it was copy of the Steinway O. I suppose if you can't be one, try to look like one... smile

I actually had a lot of fun with that piano. I played it hard and enjoyed it while I had it.

I reckon there are some changes going on with the PW site, with the technical updates and all. Things change and not much stays the same.

Hope all is well with you and family!

Rick

Yeah! I always liked that old one, with the musical notes bouncing around! smile
I found it when I first signed up here. Can't find it now, linkable or not. frown

Nope, nothing stays the same forever...

The girls and I are doing pretty well, thanks.

I changed my Avatar, which was stock, to an icon of a Yamaha C3 a couple years ago. I stored it in the Piano Forum’s photo link. The evening of the day my Estonia was delivered I made an icon of an Estonia brochure picture of my piano and stored it into the Piano Forum picture gallery. It seems so far to still be working. Perhaps you can load your chosen avatars to the photo gallery instead of an outside gallery. Just a thought. Glad everyone is doing well!

Hmmmm. Mine still seems to work. I uploaded it years ago.

It looks like Rich's is hosted remotely at imagur, and PD's is at photobucket. I'm pretty sure there was a facility to upload the avatar directly here on PB that seems to be gone now. Only remote hosting or stock avatar. No biggie. Just hate to lose the old file. frown
