Hi everyone. I got 2011 Yamaha GC2, and it's music stand makes a bad squeaky noise on its left side when I pull it out. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You need some lubrication. Not sure what techs recommend. Maybe some beeswax?

Don't use beeswax, that was just a wild guess.

Candle wax is used to lubricate wood on wood bearing surfaces.

Except it could be felt on metal. Put some furniture polish on a rag and wipe the slide, not the felt in the slot.

Could work....
But the best metal-to-felt lubricant I've used is McLube PTFE suspension. It leaves a durable (not permanent) film of PTFE.

Yes, but physics is physics, anyway. If it will work on one piano it will work on another.

If it's felt on metal (quite likely, I think), as well as 'polishing' the metal with Pledge, you could apply a little talcum to the felt, with an artists' paintbrush or similar. Teflon powder would be even better, but you would have to obtain some.
