My Kurzweil MP20, purchased in 2015, needs a repair. I would like if other user of this model has had the same problem:

When I switch on the piano sounds ALL the instruments for a few seconds, like all the orchestra had falled on the floor, like all the bells random sounds at same time. After a few seconds, all the sounds get silence. Then, only sounds one of each 8 keys. All run fine, but, one of each 8 keys keep silent.

I have restored the firmware, reset the piano, and nothing happens.

(The spain technical service do nos ask my questions).

¿Somebody has had this problem? If it ¿How were resolved?

Is it possible to deal with Kurzweil technical support from another country?

This is the piano technician's section.
A Kurzweil is not a piano but a digital keyboard. Perhaps you can get information from the Digital forum...

My Kurzweil is long gone, but my guess is that a flat cable end connection inside is loose and affecting the scan of the keys to be incorrect. To check I suggest that you download the free copy of Modartt Pianoteq software and use it so that your keyboard, either USB connected or e.g. a Roland UM-One midi-to-usb adaptor, is sending midi messages to the Pianoteq software. The software is able to show if each key and only that key is transmitting data. It can also can play the notes on your laptop. Note the free version will not allow your play all 88 notes.
Hope this helps.

I'm all keyed up
