Great fun but is he trying to channel Liberace with all those sequins on his vest?

Take a look at his videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/KMNKeyboardVault/videos

He has a bunch that look to be done in the last few hours at NAMM trying different keyboards and pianos. Great find, thanks for sharing! I always love seeing new gear being played with smile

How versatile is the CFX. Bach sounds just as good.

I don't think that type of playing is a good way to show off the possibilities of this piano which many consider to be very great. Mostly loud near banging IMO.

But that is not the same pianist playing in the original video. ,Surely not ?

I agree with pianovloverus. The guy is a good stride pianist, but the things he is doing work with almost any piano. Whenever I come across a piano in bad condition at an airport I play things like that and it works, and the people passing by are impressed what a great pianist I am (well, maybe they are right, haha...). But the CFX in this video is a fine instrument that deserves a very different kind of music.

I’ve never been to NAMM but heard it’s quite loud in background noise, so that might be why he’s playing as loud as that CFX can possibly get. That also might be the reason he’s playing that particular type of music. I’ve always wanted to go to NAMM in January. Summer in Nashville can be really hot and humid. Plus trying out the latest and greatest is really tough because all the vendors are showing off their instruments all day long. I can play with other music and conversation going on but for me, it strains the brain so after an hour or so I’m done.
