Between Lee Galloway's arrangement and Thomas Andersen's arrangement, which is more difficult to play ?

I think Galloway is harder and also way nicer, in fact I consider it the best piano version for it's short, clear, beautiful and no-bs structure.

I’ve just learnt the version In Alfreds- not perfectly but can play it through. I think that it might be an easier version though

Love it or hate it, Pachelbel’s Canon in D is one of the most popular bits of traditional music ever, however the realities behind the
creation aren't too known. Exemplary FM busts the legends behind this suffering work.

I’ve only played the Alfred and the Thomas Andersen versions.

The Alfred arrangement is more like a set of variations on the theme. Fun to play, but less faithful to the original. It’s more like different riffs over rhythmic chord changes with a clear separation between left and right hand. I think most beginners will find this easy to learn.

The Thomas Andersen arrangement is more faithful and has a clearer sense of the melody. This is the one I’d play if some one requested it, mainly because it’s closer to what people are expecting to hear. I would rate this as only slightly more difficult than Alfred because the voicing is more balanced between L/R hands and you can bring out the melody more effectively.

But to me they’re both beginner arrangements. And they’re both short enough that you could learn them both and Improvise sections on the fly to create your own “mix”..
