Hi everyone - the recital is open for submissions, so pledging to play something at this point is OK, but you may as well go ahead and submit. If you are ready, that is. I am not ready, so I shouldn't be offering advice, I guess. I thought that Agay prelude would be simple to learn quickly - yeah, right...

Sam LOL Sam, same here. Just returned from WI so the trip was 3 days without practice, and had a n unexpected trip to Fargo which also ate up 3 days of practice I was counting on. Still I think I can get something respectable together even if it's by midnight of the 14th!

I have been practicing the piano late nights and early mornings for the past month, so I have used my silent piano with headphones. Yesterday I tried with the grand and it was horribly out of tune...no wonder, it's been a while and winter suddenly arrived. So today I tried the upright. it wasa little better so I guess I will have to record with it, although this music plays way better with the grand. I just made one bad recording with a phone. There are a few memory failures, I haven't played this piece much lately, But if I cannot make anything better, I will have to upload this one..otherwise I'll miss yet another recital... BTW, I accidently put the deadline on the 15th, which actually fits my work schedule better. So you will have until 9 pm on the 15th

I had cardiac ablation last Thursday and am on Dr. requirements for "rest", whatever that means. Gradually I'm at the piano a few more minutes so I'm planning to record by the end of the week. My prelude won't be perfect but I've enjoyed learning it and offering it to the process.

WiseBuff, I have no idea what cardiac ablation is, but it sounds serious. Good luck and I hope you feel better!
I submitted a recording, not the best, but about as well as I can do right now - too much stuff going on...

I've decided to hold off on the Rachmaninoff Prelude for this recital, since it's not where I'd like it to be yet. I'll continue to work on it and perhaps submit it at the next Quarterly, but for this recital I'll just be submitting the Bach and the Ravel. Ravel isn't quite where I'd like it, either, but I think I can get something decent recorded for that. I'll try recording this weekend, and most likely I'll want to have another shot at it on Tuesday.

Took a try at a recording today and it seemed worth submitting. This is the first time in quite awhile I don't submit at the very last minute!

Submitted! That was... painful 😅 The prelude is nowhere near where I wanted, but still decided to go with it. Let's see how it goes! I can't wait to listen to all of the pieces
