What a nice concert of Christmas and non-Christmas tunes hosted by your teacher in her own living room! Your "Silver Bells" sound great on your teacher's Steinway, but your performance came too short in the video. As I expected, there were only very few grown-ups in that session. It is a pity that most kids stop playing when they are leaving school. The girl at 10:20 and the guy at 11:10 seem to be very talented...
Only 3 adults I know of, myself, girlfriend, and the guy at 11:10. He's very good! From what I know, he played through childhood, stopped for awhile, and then returned.
Yes, it's great that she hosts these workshops. She then has a more formal recital in June in her home as well. I like the idea of having a "formal" once a year, and then the monthly workshops in the same setting to prepare for the "recital".
I'll be playing 2 pieces at the next workshop in January, a little more difficult than the Silver Bells. I'll let you know how it goes in the January Bar
But it should be relaxed, it's just a workshop, not recital. The word workshop feels a lot more pleasant than recital.
