I think it's a terrible idea, tbh. It's not a sport to win at. Just my 0.02$.

Since the article said the concert would be 4.5 hours but the concerti take around 2.5 hours all together, my guess is that there will be either one lengthy break at one point or perhaps two intermissions.

The Jupiter Symphony with pianist Anton Kuerti used to perform all five Beethoven Concerti and the Choral Fantasy in New York City on New Year's eve, and split the concert into two parts with 2-3 hours in between. I think one could also buy tickets to only half the concert.

With lengthy intermissions (as they are doing), this might be feasible.
