Hello. I just bought an FP30. Everything seems well, except there is a faint hissing sound coming from the speakers. It’s more noticeable if I move my head under the piano. It stays the same through all volume ranges, and is not present in both headphone jacks. If the speakers were facing upwards, this would be very noticeable.
Is this the normal sound of the speakers being active?
I really hope this isn’t a problem...two Rolands in a row I’ve had issues with

No, it's a problem. You should not hear noise coming out of the speaker. After three issues, you should get something else. I wish you get this issue solved.

I really hope this isn’t a problem...two Rolands in a row I’ve had issues with Mine does that too. It's yet another reason not to play the piano while sitting underneath it. More seriously though, if the sound bothers you, then you should concentrate more on your music. The world is full of irrelevant sounds. Our minds should filter them out.

What distance from your ears to hear the hiss? My Presonus have a low his as did the previous Yamahas I owned. But only when I at around 1 ft from them. Owners of JBL studio monitors complain on hiss as well at very close range. If at a normal hearing distance they are OK, then I would not be worried. I understand your concern though and you wanting to check if this is normal.
Kawai ES8, Roland RD2000, Yamaha AG06 mixer, Presonus Eris E5 monitors, Sennheiser HD598SR phones.

Another issue I’m having is when turned up, the lower notes make the speakers, or chassis vibrate making an annoying rattle. It’s more audible in one speaker. I think I might have to return it.
I swear to god I’m never buying a Roland or budget piano again.
Edit: The hiss, I can hear from sitting at the piano.

I have a Roland FP 30 that has an audible hiss (white noise). Took it to the store, they had another FP30 and an FP10 that, even with the volume on the lowest setting, produce an audible white noise. It's something I got used to, but is there.
