In this Black friday time, I am interested by the NI Noire.
I like the sound very much, but I have some doubts about the quality of the half pedaling and the repedaling. This is critical for me since I can't live with a lack in the pedaling.
On some other NI pianos (Grandeur, Maverick, Gentleman) and also on the Galaxy Vintage D, there is clearly something strange in this area.
1° The half pedaling works only when you press the pedal before you hit the keys.
2° The repedaling works only when the Release samples are open, but the repedaling produces then a totally unnatural attack.
So, I made a small midi file playing the Gandeur in which I can hear the 2 points described here.
The midi file contains 6 chords and 4 notes played.
The 3 first chords are played with the pedal pressed before the notes were hit. The 3 next chords are hit before the pedal. In any case, the pedal is released slowly to test the half pedal effect. In the Grandeur I can hear that the half pedaling works on the 3 first chords but not on the 3 other.
The 4 notes played are just 4 notes with pedal and I apply a rapid repedaling. On the Grandeur, I hear an unnatural and unpleasant attack when I repedal.
Is there a member of the community who uses Noire and could load my midi file, and export it as an audio file made by Noire to see how works the pedaling on Noire?
The Noire should be on its Pure preset, with half pedaling and Repedaling open, Release samples open at a middle level and pedal noises open at a level that we can hear them.
