Anyone know anything about the H.F. Flemming action? I'd appreciate any information comparing Flemming to Renner. (I love Renner.)

I've found ads for 30 to 40 year old A. Förster and Blüthner pianos which both have in them the Flemming action. It's quite a journey for me to play them, so I'd like to know something before commiting to the trip.

Thanks

Very nice actions. I'm sorry they're gone.

BDB, thanks. Could you compare it to Renner? Is it a light touch?

The Blüthner I'm interested in is a 9 footer (four strings per note in the treble) at a really good price, so I'd appreciate any additional comments you may have about that action. (Or 9 foot Blüthners, for that matter!)

Thanks again.

All I can say is that they were well made, and that there is no reason to be concerned about them. Whether you like the action on the piano you are considering is up to you.
