This is in continuation to my other thread:
http://forum.pianoworld.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2910901/

Can anyone please give me contact details of good piano teachers in Kolkata (preferably south Kolkata area).

Me, along with my 7 year old son, both want to learn playing piano.
I don't need any diploma but as 'Tyrone Slothrop' mentioned in other thread, for my son, a teacher with experience in ABRSM / Trinity exam is highly appreciated.

It will be better if the teacher can come to our home for coaching.
Please feel free to message me if you don't want to share your contact info on public forum.

Thanks.

Hi Sunil,

I currently live in Gurgaon (though I’m a Bengali smile). I was in a similar situation last year. I got the contact details of my piano teacher through urbanpro.com. I had gathered a list of a lot of tutors from this website, and a few others which showed up on search results. My teacher follows the Trinity syllabus for the kids and as far as I know, all of them take the exams as well. He follows Trinity’s syllabus as a base for adults as well, though for us the curriculum is more varied as individual goals come into picture. For e.g., a vocal teacher had joined, and she had an additional interest in learning how to accompany herself while singing.

I’ll ask my teacher (since he also has roots there), if he has some idea about piano teachers in Kolkata. Will send you a message in case I hear anything.

Good luck!

Osadharon!

I live near Behala/Thakurpukur area.
If he can recommend any teacher near this area that will be a great help!
