It says I'm 40 years younger than my calendar age! Time to pull out a smart phone and stare at some apps or something!!!

It says 40 and I'm 58 years old. The test is simple, you know classical music, you're old, you don't , you're young.

Well, I know a little classical music, and I'm young (so I'm told) 3hearts

Maybe because I prefer Angela Gheorghiu to the others? Well, I like her Puccini and Verdi, and the others can't sing...... whistle

P.S. Just had another go at the quiz but changed my answer to Danny Barenboim instead of Angela, and I'm informed that my age has suddenly jumped to 68!!

Sorry, Danny, you're old hat......

And which performer do you know - helps you relate to a specific generation of performers. I chose Barenboim, the only one I knew.

My score was 28 with Barenboim as an answer! Have I found some sort of classical fountain of youth? smile

Also, ditto on all the remarks about needing a "None of the above" answer on the Handel.

Said I’m 28, I’m actually 48.

Fountain of youth! It made me 28 as well. (Is anybody not 28 according to their calculations?) The 7th was blocked in this country so I didn't get to hear it.

I’m also 28 in spite of having to randomly put Barry Lyndon because there was no “none of the above”.

So I did it again, slightly changing some answers though still basically true preferences (I kept Barry Lyndon) and I’ve aged 40 years.

They made me nine years older than I am! A bit of a shock. laugh

Same here

But I'm easily flattered, so I enjoy that it pegged me as 11 years younger than I am :-)

Also got stuck in question2. No I would not sell stuff to see someone live. Nor do I know most names. So here are my research results to help the others smile

Angela appears a romanian soprano.
Vanessa Mae apparently is a British violinist
Nigel Kennedy a English violinist and violist
Daniel Barenboim an Argentinian pianist
Nicola Benedetti a Scottish violinist

Is this questionnaire for violinists?

Tried to get through but most questions have non-fitting answers. For instance I know Händels Sarabande, because it's a famous piece of him. What's Barry Lyndon, or Levi's advert? I'm out there crazy

I am a bit surprised that you people do not know Barry Lyndon. Not only is it one of the masterpieces of Stanley K, he is also a novel charachter by Thackeray...

The old masterpiece by Kubrick that I watched recently on TV is Dr Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The Bomb, in black & white. I didn't know about the checkered history of its aborted release - originally due in 1962 but the Cuban Missile crisis had just loomed (the closest the world got to nuclear annihilation, for those too young to know about it), so the release was put off to the following year.

I'm frankly amazed that we've survived to talk about old movies in relation to an internet music quiz wink , but then I was surprised that 1984 went by and Big Brother is (still) just a TV show.........unless BB is watching me right now, via my laptop's secret camera...... cursing

I worked with an Air Force pilot who flew atomic missions and he said that that film was the favorite of everybody on the flight line and that the film was technically accurate.

“Stay on the bomb run, boys!”

I just finished reading the novel Catch-22 for the second time. I don’t know of another book that captures the horror of flying in a bomber and being exposed to deadly flak like that book does.

Yossarian to Clevinger:

Y: They’re trying to kill me.
C: No one’s trying to kill you.
Y: Then why are they shooting at me?
C: They’re shooting at everyone. They’re trying to kill everyone.
Y: And what difference does that make?
