Classic FM has a quiz to determine your age based on your musical tastes https://www.classicfm.com/lifestyle/quizzes/can-we-guess-your-age/ Did they get it right? They did for me

Not exactly but in the vicinity. I don’t know how they “guessed†but I randomly picked on 2 questions because 1) all of the artists in one question I did not know and 2) one of the video clips was not available to me.

I'm stuck at question #7. There isn't a "none of the above" answer.... 🤔

I got to question number 2 and had no idea who any of those people are.
So much for that, I guess.

There isn't a 'none of the above' anywhere. How silly is that.

No... it guessed that I'm quite a bit older.
Interestingly, I took one earlier that was supposed to guess my generation, and it said I was a baby boomer, which I'm also not. So at least they're consistently guessing too old.

It guessed me to be 7 years younger.
Also---Question number 7 in particular was poor. I recognize the Handel piece---I am currently learning this particular movement. I first became interested just from listening to some playlist of popular keyboard works. So none of the answers made sense to me.

Well it was only one year out on my age, but as one of the videos wouldn't play in 'my region' that's pretty clever!

Bah...it said I'm 68 (I'm 42). Some of them had no good answers! Like the Handel one, and 'which instrument sets my teeth on edge.' I like all of them!

The quiz was off by almost 50 years. It's kind of interesting to speculate which choices the quiz makers thought would be chosen by older or younger people. I don't think many of my choices would typically be favored by young people except possibly for my dislike of the Four Last Songs. I wonder how much thought really went into the quiz.

I am not sure what it means, but the calculation indicates that I am more than 50 years younger than I really am. Some of the questions were "silly" - for lack of a better word, (Sell a prized possession to attend a live performance of the above?) and there should have been "none of the above" options in some of them. Oh, well ...

Amazing! They were only 1 year off... I too struggled with the absence of "none of the above", but since I am used to psychological tests, I just picked one.
I wonder if the last question helped them...how many of the younger generation has even seen that movie?

I just did the quiz again, and changed just one answer, the last (to Barry Lyndon - which I've never heard of). My age went up from 28 to 54.......

My supposed age is one year less than my firstborn's actual age. Ah, to be in my late 20s again...

I stopped after the second question because I wouldn't pay anything or go out to hear anybody. The last piano concert I attended was Ogdon in 1967 I think.

That's what it said to me too. What a "laugh"...(or is that a "wish"?)
