Hi All,

This is my first real post. As others have done I've been lurking on the forum reading about different pianos, etc. while I've been shopping for an upright piano. I bought and read Larry Fine's book and price supplemental and have gotten a lot of great advice while reading other people's posts at this forum.

Purchasing a piano can be a daunting task especially if you try to sample as many different pianos as possible. At the beginning it seemed like I could never narrow my choices down. I tried many nice pianos during my shopping adventure - Charles Walter, Petrof, Yamaha, Boston, Kawai, Kemble, Baldwin, Schimmel, Weinbach, Bohemia, and others.

There was one comment that I kept reading on this forum and to paraphase 'the piano will sing to you' and I'm thinking people are nuts. Well, it happened! I played a Bohemia Concerto 132 that 'sang to me' and I knew then what piano to buy. I was very fortunate to visit Phil Warfield at Warfield Pianos in Catonsville, MD who loving prepared my new instrument. I am so happy 3hearts

I've read enough posts to know that pictures are required. I did my best but it was difficult to get decent pics without glare. The finish on the piano is polished mahogony.

Very nice! The contrasting wood grain on the face of the piano is very beautiful. Enjoy your new piano and thanks for posting pictures.

John,

The "sings to you" prescription sounds goofy - right up to the moment that it happens. Then you realize that there's an emotional, perhaps even irrational connection between you and that instrument.

All the best with yours,

DavidH

Hello John,
Congratulation with this nice piano !!!
I have seen it here in Holland and it is a very nice piano.
It comes from a little village in Tsjechie named Jihlava.
The price in Holland is $6950.-
What has you pay for them in the USA ?
I wish you many happy ours behind this piano !!!

Klaas

I am from the Netherlands and I would like it to know a lot more about piano's and pianoplayers.
