Thank you Chris! It looks a little rough though. I am not sure there will be many takers. smile

Oh, a Forrest!

So Patrick Cunningham made several different "quality levels".

The Forrest was the simplest cabinet, was almost always a player, and a bit less expensive piano. The Girard was named after Stephen Girard, the wealthy philanthropist, and was a well styled cabinet - premium grade veneers and lots of carved trim. The top of the line Cunningham was The Matchless Cunningham. The story behind this model is that Patrick himself offered anyone $10,000.00 to anyone who could prove that they built a better piano. He never wrote a check and was inspired to call this model "The Matchless" ever since.

The top of the line player was the Cunningham P&E, named for Painter & Ewing, a small Philadelphia firm who joined Patrick Cunningham to build player pianos.

I haven't seen a Forrest in some time so thank you again, Chris, for the link.

I never realized Cunningham pianos have been around that long !
This is not surprising I have not been on this side of the world for
all that long.
