I could have sworn I had a volume of cadenzas by Beethoven for some Mozart piano concerti. I know that he wrote cadenzas for the first and last movements of the D minor concerto, don't know of any others specifically -- but I was sure that I had a volume of a bunch of them by Beethoven. I even imagine that I can "see" what the cover looks like -- mostly white, with blue and black print. Of course I could be imagining it, probably am, because I've looked up and down through everything I have and I don't see it, and I don't see any indication online of there being such a volume.

Anyone have or saw such a volume, or at least imagined it? ha

I have the Lili Kraus volume of all Mozart’s original cadenzas, which also includes the Beethoven ones for the D minor concerto, and a number of others by Kraus herself. And the book is mostly white, with blue and black print. Well actually it’s blue and dark blue, but close enough. smile

I have the book too:

It looks like Beethoven only wrote the cadenzas for K466.

Mozart wrote cadenzas for all his solo piano concertos except Nos.1,2,4,6,20,21,22,24,25,26. More accurately, none have been found for them......

Or perhaps, these were the only ones that were not written down...

.....because only he played them?

He wrote cadenzas for Nannerl at her request too - probably somewhat surprising to most who thought she was also a child prodigy. She was, but apparently not as a composer (or improviser), according to Robert Levin.

BEAUTIFUL!!
That's exactly what I had in mind, just misremembered what it was.
Now to find where I have that.... grin

Here's an image of it anyway -- it's exactly what I was thinking of:
