@Grooveman - Care to create a version with English subtitles?

ps - My wife and I just saw 'Zimna wojna' so I know I can deal with subtitles - great film btw...

They say extra practice can make up for modesty of talent (up to a point) - I sure hope so...

I'm both new to the forum and new to pianos. I'm coming over from electric bass (15 years) as a way to write more and expand my chordal knowledge. After way too much research, I narrowed it down to the FP-10 and FP-30. However, I could only find an FP-30 to demo. As someone completely new, the main differences I'm worried about are the Speakers, Pedals, and if the 1/4 line out really made any difference. Not that I expect to play out, but "future proofing". As I primarily plan on learning Jazz, Blues, Rock/Pop, type stuff, I'm not sure the extra pedals will make a difference to me? But, I'm fairly ignorant on the subject. I also really liked the Jazz Organ 2 and the E-Piano 3 sounds, which aren't on the FP-10. But I'm not sure if I'll ever actually use them.

Long winded, but if I had to narrow my questions.
1. Are the speakers worth the upgrade?
2. Should I worry about the 1 vs 3 pedals?
3. Is the 1/4 headphone jack an improvement?
4. Does the Bluetooth MIDI work well? I hate cables...

I'm sorry if any of the questions are answered in the video! I do not speak the language.

Hi. That's my language wink

1. Speakers are the same in both models but on this video, Grooveman is saying: "FP10 speakers are the same level like in the FP30 and IMO they sound even a bit better in FP10."
2. If you not playing classical works - I don't think you will really need 3 pedals.
3. Mechanically 1/4 headphone jack is keeping more firm than 1/8 one ...but no preassure IMO.
4. I don't know, sorry.

That's interesting, the spec sheet shows the FP-30s being rated at a higher output then the FP-10. As long as they sound good, doesn't really matter to me.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.

@AlphaBravoCharlie - that would be awesome if you could overdub an audio translation onto the original video! Maybe you can coordinate with Grooveman...

Linking a piece of interesting information here, from thread http://forum.pianoworld.com/ubbthre...p10-pedal-is-it-actually-continuous.html

FP-10 seems to behave differently from FP-30 with respect to the optional half-damper pedal (DP-10) than FP-30, suggesting that FP-30 interprets the damper levels in a more sophisticated way.

I did not see this message. I can record overdub. Not so much keen on creating subtitles though.

Confirmed. I owned FP30 and now I do FP10. Speakers are a bit less powerful on FP10, maybe cleaner, but I prefered FP30. Also, FP10 sends only 3 velocities for sustain, not continuous like in FP30 case.
