Why is a long pivot length important to me?

I am drawn to the romantic composers, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Chopin etc. They all require good regulation, the need to be able to control how hard/fast you hit the key to a fine degree. They also very often require needing to play near the fallboard.

I am a long way from having the sense of touch and control needed for playing these composers sensitively. For playing many of their pieces I find it really hard going playing near the fallboard. I am a long way from having the required skill and it will be a long time before I have the kind of skill that can play these pieces well when playing near the fallboard.

Playing on a piano with a long pivot length makes a really big difference for what I am interested in playing. The simple physics of levers ensures this is the case. I am so far from being a skilled enough player that I could play these type of pieces well on a piano with a short pivot length.

The NV5 is an awesome looking piano and I am sure for a digital piano it will sound great as well, I was looking at it closely not because I am thinking of buying anything like it, I can't, I am not in a position to, but I was looking at it closely because it looks so gorgeous and I was intrigued and then I noticed the short pivot length. That ended the unrequited love affair.

Like MacMacMac I just cannot play quickly. The repetition rate is absolutely no concern to me, as well as being physically unable to play rapid repetitions I am also not drawn to learning to play anything that requires that kind of speed. I made no comment in relation to repetition rate before this because it was of no interest to me. I made remarks that relate 100% to what engages me. It is just common sense that something that impacts my ability to play pieces that I want to hear played well I will comment on.

The first and main goal of buying a hybrid grand piano is to have a grand piano keyboard and action built in a digital piano. Unfortunately, the Kawai Novus NV5 does NOT have a grand piano keyboard and action, it has an upright piano keyboard and action. Therefore, the Kawai Novus NV5 should not be even considered for any potential would be buyer of a hybrid grand piano! They should consider the Kawai Novus NV10 instead or the Yamaha hybrid grand pianos (except one that also has a similar upright piano keyboard and action) or the Casio hybrid grand pianos.
And I do not mean in any way that the Kawai Novus NV5 is a bad product, not at all.

There has been no mention of "grand" anything in this thread. And the NV5 is not marketed as having a grand action.

So if you're saying that if you want a grand hybrid you should buy a grand hybrid ... then I don't see your point.

How do we know the action replicates a K200 and not a K300? Or K500? The NV10 could have had the action of a GL10. But it doesn’t.

Just curious why you included the Casios in a discussion of digital hybrids with acoustic grand actions? The Casios are more like the Kawai CA-78/98, Yamaha CLP-675/685 or Rolabd LX-706/708, they're high end digitals with fine digital actions but nothing like an acoustic action at all.

That looks like a baby grand. I could be wrong but I checked another video here, and this one looks like a grand as well.
