These are attached to a 1888 Chickering Concert Grand Piano (Model P 7'6" according to the advert). Looks like it's in storage -- hopefully climate controlled.

Retsacnal, that certainly is a beautiful, ornate piano leg, for sure! But a little too ornate for me.

If I had a piano with legs like that, they'd go out looking for a better piano player. smile

Too ornate for my place too, but I do find these older pianos interesting and nice to admire.

I much prefer cleaner lines on a piano, and not just for cleaning purposes. I can appreciate the skill that went into that scrollwork, but I don't find it aesthetically pleasing. Different strokes for different folks.
