Thanks, however "macOS 10.15 (Catalina) is not currently supported" from audacity webpage. Thats what broke garageband too. And downgrading seems annoyingly difficult. Couldnt find the free cakewalk product. Excect 30 day trial ones. Guess Ill try one of those, Cheers

You couldn't find the free Cakewalk because it's posted on a different website.

Cakewalk by BandLab

However, the system requirements are:

Windows 7 or higher (64-bit only)
Multi-core Intel or AMD CPU
4GB RAM
3GB free disk space
1280x800 screen resolution
ASIO compatible hardware is recommended

so that won't be of much use to you with your Mac.

Or to me, with Linux. smile

I use WavePad by NCH (Australia). They do have a trial period. After that you can purchase a license for a low 1-time fee. Used to use Adobe SoundBooth. The company changed their policy by making people pay by monthly rental.

Dont think so, but my Logic was installed by a shady computerdealer on Bethnal Green Road. I didnt ask for it, but there it was, after he fixed my harddrive. So without a licence I cant upgrade, naturally.
