Peter Bence is really awesome for creating exciting pop arrangements. I have experimented with extended techniques but not for popular music, so this is just a traditional attempt for playing 'Stayin' Alive'. I have fixed the lighting issue since I recorded this video.

Hi Leon
What a great blast from the past — and a fun arrangement 😊. Thanks much

I never thought this would be a good piece to play on a piano until I listened to your rendition. Fantastic! I like it how precisely you keep the tempo.

Any song can be shifted for the piano, the question is in professionalism levels of arrangement.

Honestly that's how I feel about certain songs/styles as well. Sometimes there are multiple grooves and/or important musical ideas happening at the same time which kind of makes it a challenge, but there's always a way. What I do is that I just keep playing the song for few minutes, and sometimes that alone just speaks to me.

Absolutely! It's almost like writing a piano reduction score.

Thanks a lot! It was a short improvisatory type of composition, but glad to know I was able to get the point across. Thanks for listening.

Your composition "Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris" is really marvellous and very impressive, with a very confident ending in G major. Yes, the cathedral will survive. They should perform your composition live when it reopens again after restoration in 2024.
