I never wrote anything in the sphere of minimalism before so I wanted to give it a try and expand my horizons. Because the harmony remains stagnant throughout the entire piece, I was forced to incorporate varying rhythms and syncopations to keep things interesting which was a lot of fun.

Very nice! Do you write your compositions out? Do you share/sell the score ever? whome

Only just got around to listening to it, and I like it a lot! Very interesting rythms. What's the project you're using it for (if you can talk about that)?

So you didn't write this out in score form? Too bad, I would love to play it! I don't think I could figure it out just from watching though. What key is it in?

Haha is the right answer! I am one of those people who is totally dependent on having a score to play or learn from, so it's probably utterly ridiculous for me to think I can learn your piece just from watching that video. whome

Fortunately, however, I am not one of those people afraid of 5 flats. So I'll give it a try! grin

Nice. It reminded me of Einaudi's style.

Well, I spent 20 minutes yesterday to figure out the first 26 seconds of music. Considering that the music seems to be about the same level of most of the pieces I generally play and I could probably play through after one practice session if I had the score, it's very frustrating to do this process of going through the video and playing it at 1/4 the speed to figure out the notes. Plus, I don't know how I'll commit to memory without the visual reference of a musical score. At this pace, I don't know if I'll make it all the way to the end!

You sure you don't want to write out the score and start selling it? no, I didn't just google piano transcription service, why do you ask? whome

BTW, so is this what people do when they learn music from synthesia videos? It seems so inefficient, I can't understand why everyone doesn't learn to read the score. Well, except that I know zero about music theory and if I could pick out the chord progression and put names to it etc, I could see how you could more easily learn something by ear plus the visual you get from synthesia....

OscoBosco, are you sure you don't want to write out the score for this piece? I would pay for a copy!! whome

Which is to say, I have realized that I cannot play it without the music to read from frown
