Hey all, I thought I'd share this as you might find it helpful or at least interesting. Tiffany Poon has been mentioned a few times here and there on Piano World, she's quite a talented player to say the least. Anyway, she regularly posts practice videos. They are a great insight in to how a professional pianist actually practices, and I've taken away a lot of ideas on how to do effective practice. One thing that makes them particularly useful is she annotates them with thoughts about what she's doing and why. It's insight you don't usually get in to the mind of a pro! Also, you find out that pros are human and struggle with some of the same things we do (except, you know, 200x better.) Here's a sample of a couple, but you can find more of them by searching through her videos. The practice sessions are typically in her "VLOGS".

Funny, I’ve been working on my chromatic scales this week also, for the piece I’m working on. She’s a little faster though! I’ve watched some of her videos before.

Thanks so much for posting Tiffany’s practice .,.. I had not seen these. Wish I could fix my problems as quickly as she can 😢

She is a very talented pianist, and I appreciate when she makes practice videos like these. I recorded my practice session for the first time yesterday as a diversion. Unfortunately, mine doesn't sound nearly as interesting as hers, since I'm learning a new piece from scratch, and I end up drilling the most mundane bits just to get the notes right.

I'm a big fan of Tiffany Poon. She is my favourite among the current generation of professional pianists.

oh wow! I absolutely love her vlogs too and she inspired me to create my first almost VLOG type video too. Glad it's not just me that found this style helpful
