Hello everyone, I have received a couple of kind notes from folks over the last many months checking in to see if I am okay. I am okay! I have just been through some personal and community challenges that took a lot of time and energy, and while you are all lovely humans, additional online discussions/arguments were not what I needed during that period of time. Fortunately musical life has been good. (Whatever else is going on, Beethoven always understands) And now apparently I am logged in. So I look forward to gradually catching up with everyone and hearing your music! Best regards, Heather

Online arguments? Here? Don't know what you're talking about . Welcome back. I still follow some of your advise on warm up scales btw, so don't think you're not influential!

Nice to read you. I know you are not just another "ordinary" PW member but rather a professional and fine pianist - I have listened to some of your recordings, I think it was on the PianoSociety and/or the IMSLP if I am not mistaken. Those fast variations on a theme in B-flat by Haendel, was that you?

Hi, Heather -- welcome back! You're in time to contribute to the Nordic Themed Recital, which will go live in October, over in the Adult Beginners Forum. Must be a composer from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, or Iceland -- you can choose from your 50 favorite Icelandic composers! Also, Sam S has started a Beethoven recital signup for next spring -- should be right in you wheelhouse. Thanks, incidentally, for managing a couple of recitals yourself, several years back -- most appreciated! Glad to hear everything is settling in these days.

Hey those recitals sound great. Thanks for the tip, Tim. And yes Pianist685 that was me on the Handel, including the variation where I just couldn't get a clean take of the 2nd half
