Saw this on eBay yesterday: https://www.ebay.com/itm/292892744768?ul_noapp=trueLooks interesting for the price (same price as a VPC1!). However, it uses an older sensor system which does not support half-pedaling. They said they could upgrade the sensors, which of course translates to a higher price. There's also a video on the page that shows how they convert dilapidated acoustic pianos into digitals.

Indeed but I guess it’s a system similar to Pnoscan only under the keys.

It's an old system made by QRS, who also makes PNOscan. The seller is also selling the system separately. As you can see in the listing, it's a pretty old system.

Does anyone know what kind of sensors are used in this mechanism? Yes, see the post right above yours.  It's an old system made by QRS, who also makes PNOscan. The seller is also selling the system separately. As you can see in the listing, it's a pretty old system.

The keys push down a lever that blocks a light beam. I imagine the sensor determines the position of the key based on the amount of light that is being blocked.
