Will CA glue fix this?

This is the first time I disassembled a piano and was surprised how easy it was to break the thinner parts of the plate with a sledge hammer. I started on the bottom side of the picture and moved to the top. I couldn’t fit the whole plate in my car to take to the metal recycler so I was afraid I would have to pay somebody to haul it away. Glad it worked out. Taking this Wurlitzer apart was very cathartic. Can’t wait to do it again!

I remember good feelings too smashing apart a Wurlitzer studio (complete toast...no great loss) with my 10 lb sledge. Great fun!. Then I got to burn it in my burn pit. The plate is still there these several years since.

There is something weirdly enjoyable about doing that. There must be some psychology behind it. Anybody know? Is it a power trip? Unresolved anger and frustration?

Many years ago I TRIED to do what you did (for the same reason) to an old Chickering Upright plate. I was much stronger then, and I was unable to make even a "dent" in it. No breaks, no nothing, and I really wailed on it. Bummer.
