I have something similar when I hear Jazz, I just want to make it go away.

When you play, never mind who listens to you. R.Schumann.

Oh gods. That's an unmitigated nightmare. I'm usually all for being positive and making the best of things, but I believe this kind of condition would be too much for me frown

How completely horrible. What a way to live on dramamine 24x7. I think I would go surgeon shopping myself - but that's just me.

It's probably the worst thing that can happen to a pianist. Absolutely horrible.

Comparing not liking a particular musical genre to this pianist’s debilitating illness is equivalent to equating a sinus headache to a brain tumor.

If it were me, I'd keep on looking for a surgeon who's experienced enough to do the surgery, which apparently can be very successful.

Started May 2018 with John W. Schuam books; now using Faber PA Level 3A. I play a K. Kawai GL-10 baby grand.

Something like this is a tragedy for anyone, but for a musician it must be unbearable. Her music was her life.

Yes, that's what I meant by going "surgeon shopping" above.
