Hello. I'm going to perform as a soloist with a school orchestra next week. I know I will receive a little gift from my friend on stage, I will surely be given flowers as well, one bunch granted, very likely I will receive second bunch too from a different person (I know those school concerts' traditions). Moreover - I am a violinist, so with all those gifts given, my hands will be really busy. Therefore, will re-gifting flowers to a girl in the orchestra be in a bad taste? Let's consider two possibilties:
1. I receive a gift and TWO bunches of flowers, I give one of them to a girl and walk away with the remaining one and a gift
2. I receive a gift and only ONE bunch of flowers - this worries me, because if I give away my flowers, I will remain with none - it might seem to be bad behaviour.

I've seen soloists or conductors giving away their flowers to women in orchestras numerous times, and never considered it bad manner, what do you think?

Pick out one flower and hand it over, and keep the rest? I've seen performers do that.

No one writes the rules for this life, you can do as you prefer. If you try to please everyone, you will not be able to live as you want.

This is just advice and my thoughts. Probably the concert was already completed long ago. How did everything go?

I think one bunch you should keep for yourself.

The people who give flowers to you may not be pleased if you immediately re-gift all of them.
