Hello!

I have mew strings on my Bösendorfer 190 and was wandering, how many tunings will it take to "keep the tune?" I mean, the tuning is very unstable at the moment. Any experiences?

Thank you!

Maybe 5 tunings over a year's time.

Thank you. Can it be that in the capo dastro area, in the treble section, the tuning holds much less?

I would double Keith's estimate. Good humidity control can help you out a bit, but it does not stop wire from straightening at the bends and/or whatever stretching is also occurring. It simply takes time.

Best to keep it tuned regularly. Perhaps even bring the pitch up to 442 or 443. My understanding is that bus part of the factory procedure on new Bosies.

It depends on how good the person who did it was at tightening the coils.
