There's generally nothing to get excited about when a new CVP line is announced. But in this case ... they're claiming a larger 9" screen. Let's hope they do a good job with the UI.

Oh Mac Mac Mac... this is what the sarcasm tag was invented for. 😂

I can’t wait to put my hands on that large 9” screen.

P.S.

I wonder if I’ll be able to watch Netflix on it?
I’m not being sarcastic, so no need for the “sarcasm tag” here.

I don't have a problem with the screen size per se. I don't like fiddly touch control with no tactile feedback and all the smudge marks that will quickly accumulate.

I do like that they've added the Genos sound engine with tons of hopefully very realistic voices that even cumbersome VSTs fall short on. I'm not thrilled by demonstrably heavy GrandTouch action, unless they scaled the weight back.

There's so much I would like to subtract and add with these digital pianos these days.

Smudge marks? I have a CVP-705 and am not bothered by smudge marks on the screen. It's not 9" though.

I do want to try the GrandTouch.

How long have you had it? Most regularly-used older touchscreens that I've seen look pretty bad. People usually want to keep pianos for a long time.

Three years. I usually wash my hands before I play. That phone has got gunk on it above and beyond what would normally come off a clean hand. But then I don't have the piano in an area where there's glare on the screen so that helps.

People don't put pianos in their pockets.
People don't handle pianos while eating.
People don't drop their pianos.
I don't think the piano touch screen will suffer the abuse that a phone does.
