I'm on a US domestic flight and I'm too damned parsimonious to pay $25 for 5 hours of WiFi. But lo and behold, Pianoworld escapes the captive portal of United WiFi.com. maybe sponsoring free airline access is why Frank needs to go to a paid model So, anything interesting going on this Saturday? Where the usual drama?

Just visiting NYC. Might head to the Steinway gallery and make an offer to John Paulson for the company

We can always create a new Pianoteq thread for your digestion that would span your flight and will last to your return flight too You tell us the email of your wife and we will forward your messages to her That’s a business idea for Frank: since PW can evade the onboard WiFi firewall, wrap some free messaging and stuff for passengers at a lower rate than the onboard charge

So, finally there’s an advantage to having outdated 90’s technology in PW forum: it’s not being detected as a meaningful Internet web-service by the 21st century software

What about Pianoworld on the moon? Is it free there? Maybe someone will test on 2024 during the next mission. Maybe.

That’s a business idea for Frank: since PW can evade the onboard WiFi firewall, wrap some free messaging and stuff for passengers at a lower rate than the onboard charge That's exactly what I was thinking. PW can put a VPN through their domain to the rest of the web, and undercut the airline fees! Back in the day we would break out of Internet cafe captive portals by appending /&.jpg to the URLs. Most used PayPal to collect their charge so they allowed traffic from that domain through, I tried asking some friends there to add a hostess portal that would redirect to the web, but sadly that wouldn't get through "security review" or have a "legitimate business justification" or other such words!

Yo if you want drama, here we go: Perhaps now that you're in a plane and have the sound of plane engines around you all the time, perhaps when you now listen to Pianoteq recordings on crappy 5$ headphones they can finally sound good now that you can barely hear them LOL I'll excuse myself, bye
