This one claims to be from 1890 or so, but it doesn't look that old to me:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Knabe-Classic-6-1-Rosewood-Grand-Piano-42969-1890-1895/264402515338?epid=4015273015&hash=item3d8f9e358a:g:AlwAAOSwFfJcaGEQ
Notice that the serial number is stamped in ink on the plate. I've seen this before on Knabes, and it seems fake to me. For one thing, an 1890 stamp would use different-looking numbers. Second, did Knabe actually stamp serial numbers this way, or did they put them in the plate or pinblock, like other manufacturers?
I was bitten (figuratively) once by an Aeolian Knabe, but a Baltimore Knabe might be worth the money.

Knabe put serial numbers in several places at various times. This piano has had some restoration, so the serial number is not likely to be from the original stamps, but it looks correct.

The tuning pin area and plate look appropriate for a Knabe grand of 1890-1895 vintage

Once a piano dealer had me look up the date, in his Pierce book, corresponding to the serial number stamped on a 5'8" Knabe he was trying to sell me. Later it struck me that he was trying to avoid saying something that could be used against him later. Since these pianos looked nearly the same throughout the Twentieth Century, I would suspect that some restorers use their imagination in selecting a serial number to stamp on the plate.
I have seen 1890's Knabes with filigree music desks and turned and fluted legs. The spade legs and vestigal side molding look more appropriate to 1900-1910. Still, it would be made in the Baltimore factory, even if the merger had already taken place.
Saw a cute Weber baby grand from the 1920's that had "Made by AEOLIAN" cast into the plate.
