I'm getting ready to try JD Grant. Many swear by them. I was using Mapes for decades but ever since the new staff, there have been too many mistakes.

Have J.D. Grandt do a Hybrid Wire Scale set.

Have you received professional training in how to string a piano?

Gregor Heller does a wonderful job. I have enjoyed GC bass strings as well. I personally prefer Heller Bass.

Deben Strings in England makes wonderful scaled bass strings. A set currently in transit soon to be installed in my Hamburg Steinway B
