I'm looking through the user's manual. Can't seem to find a way to save different versions of "registrations" (i.e. customized instrument settings such as brightness, touch, string resonance, etc.) I think this is called a "registration" on Kawai DPs. Can't seem to find anything similar in the Yamaha user guide.

Am I missing something, or is that ability actually lacking on the P-515?

Thx.

The P series doesn't offer a registration feature. This differentiates it from professional equipment like the CP series.

You can store and recall different registrations in the companion app SmartPianist however.

There are no registrations but you can save all the custom settings for the whole instrument, tones and duals. You should go to the backup settings. Default, the backup of "other" settings is set to "on" and the backup of "voice" is set to off. If you change the voice backup to on all the changes in voices you did will be maintained after power off.

Thanks for that, man! Very helpful, and might be to others . . .

Can anyone tell me if you can split the XG voices on the p 515 , I know you can do it with the other voices but I was unable to figure out how to do it with the XG voices .
