2020 marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven! Let's have a Beethoven recital!

The recital will open for submissions April 1st 2020 and go "live" April 15th 2020.

Rules:
1) Only pieces written by Beethoven. Solo piano, transcriptions, arrangements - are all welcome.
2) All skill levels are welcome (this is the ABF!)
3) Duplicate submissions are fine - we are all unique.
4) Multiple submissions are fine - if you want to do a complete sonata, submit each movement separately.

We will use the recital submission software at recitals.pianoworld.com. All you need to participate is an mp3 recording of your performance (which is required). Videos are optional.

Sign-up in the last post below to pledge to play something. The sign-up is for fun, to see what other people are doing.

For the intermediate players, here are some examples of easier Beethoven pieces (this list is taken from the Magrath book):

Country Dances WoO 11, 14, 15
German Dances WoO 8, 13, 42
Ecossaises WoO 23, Op 83 and 86
Minuets WoO 10#1, 10#2, 82
Waltzes WoO 84, 85
Bonn Sonatinas Anh 5 (Written when he was 13?)
Bagatelles Op 33
Bagatelles Op 119
Variations WoO 64, 70, 77
Rondo Op 51#1
Two Russian Folk Songs Op 107
Happy and Sad Bagatelle WoO 54
Fur Elise WoO 59
Allemande WoO 81
Adieu to the Piano Anh 15
And some of the Sonatas (like op 49) and individual Sonata movements are playable by intermediate level performers.

Sam

I noticed I had listed the wrong G Major sonata when I signed up, the one I am actually learning is the much easier one. Nice to see you are planning on the other one of the set Chrispy!

Just a science major who loves to play the piano at his free time. I'm planning on going to a med school but I fell in love with the piano at a young age (don't judge me).
