The # of angels dancing on a pin divided by the number of keys on a Bösendorfer Imperial? 😁

Depends on how long it is before the shredder breaks! (Just kidding! I appreciate anyone who gets a piano, especially when it is a financial strain.)

Would "Going up" count as a pitch raise?

I wanted to add something about condition, but there's a limit to the length of the subject line!

Well there is a theory (RPT ) that it is the little green men who are cracked because the spinets stole thier tuning forks (and whatnot? )

This also ties in with the thread about whether a floor will support a piano.

I regularly use a lift at a Shopping Centre, generally 2 or 3 people with shopping trolleys only - but this lift has a sign which says that the capacity is a ridiculous number of people - then give a Kilogram level. We've had some random conversations about the average weight of a person in the lift - less than my weight and I'm about average (I think it works out at 68kg/person - which I'd like to be down to again - that's what I was when I was 17 yrs old).

Back to pianos. I guess, could we guess that a spinet is the weight of about 1½-2 people. My suspicion is that floor area will be the restricting factor.

White - yes, could make a difference - maybe would need a "specialist white piano removalist" to endure that number of white pianos.

One at a time in the beginning, but once you get them up to the roof and throw them off, you can squash more of them into a smaller space.

Really guys! If you owned a spinet piano, would you appreciate these disparaging comments about the piano you own? Of course you wouldn't! We have runoff many spinet owners here because of this kind of an condescending attitude. You may be amused, but if you owned one, and loved learning to play, you would be disheartened.

Please think about it.

Sorry, dogperson, I didn't start the thread to make fun of spinets--and hope no one is taking it that way--just to gin up a silly topic, in a "delivered by clowns in white Volkswagons" sort of way.

In fact, I've been considering getting an upright for a small "parlor" room at the front of the house, and have even considered a spinet.
