- Do Grand Feel Compact and GF2 have the same problem of GF1? Like unplayable notes from let-off point and slow return of key?

- I have often read of dead spots concerning the various keys that do not sound with the same sensitivity as the others when play pianissimo (affect any GF model). Is this an hardware problem of actions or a software problem?

- What is the reliability of these actions?

Thanks for any anwser.

I believe "Grand Feel Compact" should allow notes to be triggered from the let-off point, however I will double-check. I don't find the key return to be slow.

If a sound is not being produced when a key is pressed, it's likely a hardware (sensor) issue.
Due to let-off simulation, sometimes players may find that a note does not sound.

I believe the reliability of digital piano keyboard actions generally is very good, however it's possible for key switches to fail on any brands of digital piano.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,
James

I have owned many Kawai digital pianos and have experienced few issues but when they have arisen, Kawai has always responded in a fair and timely manner to correct those issues.

I now have the MP11SE and have experienced zero issues with it.

Thanks to all, very helpful, I should decide in this months whether to choose between GFC or GF2 but it costs € 1000 more. Do you know if by chance Kawai will publish something new with the digital piano this year?

Hello Frappete,

New instruments are always in development, however I'm afraid I cannot divulge any information regarding release dates.

Kind regards,
James
