I am hoping there's some set up or parameter I've missed, but I'm hearing a dramatic difference in the overall output sound. The Garritan is incredibly rich, full and expansive in it's stereo field. Switch to the Noire, and those qualities are half, or less. I've adjusted the Stereo Image parameters, but hear no difference. I just can't believe there is such a contrast between the two. I don't have anything special going on with the Garritan. Just one of it's stock patches. Any ideas?

The main difference - Abbey Roads Studio One's natural ambience. Also, Garritan's CFX has proper full sustain pedal down samples, which makes a noticeable difference in the stereo image and '3D' depth of the sound. AFAIK, Noire uses 'morphed' sustain resonance samples blended in to the pedal-up samples when the sustain pedal is engaged.

Thanks Craig....however, I just discovered that something is malfunctioning. In the Kontakt 6 Player, there is a PAN slider. When I slide to the right, I get nothing. Sliding to left, I hear Noire. This is why it's sounding like %^&*(). I cannot figure out how to correct this stereo imaging problem and turn it back on. Obviously, I'm only hearing one side, but what is also weird is that I hear that one side thru both left and right.

What's your reassessment after successfully loading the Noire in stereo?
