I have to be in Seattle on business this Thursday through Sunday, and am wondering if there are any pianos that are rentable for the public to practice on?

Thanks

Try Seattle Public Library. They have several, believe.

According to the library's website, two digital pianos are available for public use by advance reservation:

Thanks everyone, the Seattle library looks like a great option for a digital instrument, but an acoustic grand was proving extremely hard to find.

Through much digging, I managed to find a Steinway D in a small recital hall that is available for $75-100/hr depending on needs, which I think is extremely reasonable. I booked a couple of hours for today and will report back on the conditions of it - I'm not sure if they really want people practicing on it regularly, but it is routinely available for recordings, rehearsals, and small concerts. If the conditions are good, it might be a real great opportunity for local amateur musicians. I know there is nothing even remotely that reasonable for a 9ft instrument in Cincinnati.

I was out of town or I'd have had a suggestion for you, a quick ferry trip brings you Bainbridge Island and at Rolling Bay Hall there are two spaces with pianos you can rent for $20/hour. I do all my recitals here and they have a very nice Yamaha C5.,

Anyway, for future reference if anyone is looking smile

Gabriel Isserlis, son of cellist Steven Issserlis, just founded the startup tutti.space for musicians who are looking for space to practice. As far as I know, for the moment it is limited to venues in UK. Perhaps you find something similar in the US.
