This is what's playing when Robert Redford hits the home run in "The Natural". I doubt anyone ever watched that scene and thought "boy this would sound way better on a piano", but for some reason I thought it might translate well and be fun to play.

The video is secondary but was a lot of fun to produce and I thought since it's really soundtrack music it really needs some interesting visuals.

If anyone is interested, I don't have sheets but I could share a midi recording of the arrangement.

What a fun video! This is one of my favorite bits of movie music ever, and I really enjoyed your piano version of it. Anyway I bet Randy Newman wrote it at the piano! (Beautiful Schimmel by the way!)

Fun video. Randy Newman is one of my heroes. I’ve seen him live quite a few times. Three of his uncles wrote music for the pictures.

Here is an interview with him where he describes the process of composing for film. I believe he writes everything at the piano.

I believe he mentions The Natural.
