i have one Yamaha C3L-PXP Grand piano, i bought it from Japan, the problem is while i want to assign pocket controller to my disklavier piano, the Standby/ON button is flashing, and never stop Flashing, in this vase i called YAMAHA in USA, and ask them about this issue, the technician guy said, 99% the problem is from the Hard Drive of your DIsklavier, also he gave me the Part number to purchase this Item from Yamaha, but the problem is i am Not sure if the problem is from this part.
does anyone knows how to solve this problem?
i will appreciate your advance for your reply.
Find out how much the part costs. The issue here is that in order to discover if this is the issue, you'd need a qualified digital piano engineer to check over the electronics. Yamaha maybe have such engineers at the HQ or at other sites in the USA. However, years ago, Yamaha had repair technicians at their HQ facilities. In the UK, they no longer employ such staff, instead they have the names of people who they know are able to fix digital instruments. I suggest you ask how much the part is going to cost, and find out if they can repair it for you, or if they can suggest someone that can.
In order to buy an equivalent instrument today, you'd be looking a Yamaha DC3X ENPRO retailing at $65,000. Therefore, probably getting it fixed is going to be a large cost saving.
You've got upto $10,000 to spend on a repair until it becomes cheaper to buy a an Avant Grand N1X and effectively have 2 pianos: one for headphone practice, one for non-headphone practice.
