Hi all!

Piano 162

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dc_1to9Z3s4&list=RDdc_1to9Z3s4&start_radio=1&t=20

or

Salamander Grand?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2t...o=1&t=118&t=118&pbjreload=10

If I understand correctly the Salamander cannot only be used with Korg but through a free player as well.

Which one to be recommended? Or is there another free one that tops these two?

Thanks

Personally, I didn't like Piano in 162, it's sharpness put me off. I liked Salamander Grand better, but each to his own.

I don't like either. I know many people praise the Salamander, and far be it from me to criticise something made available for free, but it does have some fairly glaring problems, such as basic L-R stereo errors. Piano 162 is even more lousy in all sorts of ways. Neither are comparable to decent commercial offerings, unfortunately.

Despite the problems, they are free and I found they were a good intro to VIs.

PianoTeq demo still is the easiest introduction despite the missing notes.

Yes, sometimes you just get what you pay for. And when you don't pay anything you can't expect much.
