Of course, every pianist should play the Opus 28 No.. 20 at some point whether it's easy or not. I was simply encouraging you not to stop there. There are many wonderful - short and accessible - Chopin works that will give you an overall feel for his style.

Opus 28 no 20 =

Relatively easy to play the chords. Like with the abomination that Manilow did.

Not to easy to bring the melody out with the little finger. Some chords being easier than others.

Also not so easy to play the dynamics properly. There's a piano and pianissimo in the middle. To play the pianissimo bit and bring the melody out with those big chords is not that easy.

Easy for some pianists and not so easy for others - but it's still an intermediate level piece and one of Chopin's most accessible works..

If I had to go to a desolated island and could bring with me only one of my Chopin albums, it would be the mazurkas. I’m particularly fond of the later ones, but it is hard to pick one favorite.
