At what point does a piano tooner become a piano tuner? Or once a piano tooner, always a piano tooner?

What you look at that 1932 animation, you can see what a huge leap, and a huge gamble, Walt Disney took with Show White, only five years later. The first feature-length animated film; no-one knew if there was any audience at all for such a thing. Work of an entirely different order from any previous animation. But boy did it pay off for Disney. I read somewhere that he knew it had worked, when he heard grown men sobbing, in a preview audience. You can find lists online of Gross Profits for the most profitable movie released every year since about 1900. You go down the list, and there is the occasional 'blip' of 5 million or 11 million Dollars, and then you hit 1937 and wham, over two hundred million dollars for Snow White! Here is a clip, and also a clip of two other American greats: Earl Wild and his Baldwin SD10, playing WIld's own transcription of Frank Church's Snow White music:

I did say "Earl Wild and his Baldwin SD10" in what I wrote above!

After Baldwin's concert department ended, he switched to a Shigeru Kawai EX10, which rounds ravishing on his last two CDs, recorded age 88 and 90 respectively.
