Don't panic! This is your early warning - the recital will open for submissions May 1st and go "live" May 15th. Details are at recitals.pianoworld.com, or you can ask your questions here. Sam

I have a Glass Metamorphosis and a new piece by Yan Tierson in the bag. Just have to decide which to show.

My piece this month will illuminate (if not celebrate) the deepest, darkest aspects of sexual dominance and unbridled compulsion...and will not be a figment or phantom of the imagination...

My piece this month will explore the staccato arpeggio, the inverted mordent, and the long trill, all in a minor key. So I think Handyman has me beat! Sam

One for the Thought Police? We won't tell! I got one from last year, which I thought I'd recorded but didn't. So I'll learn it again. Pretty bad when you can't even play your own stuff . . . .

Sam Not so sure about this Sam - dominance has it's devotees, but there is something inherently and compellingly sexy about staccato arpeggios, inverted mordents and long trills - and especially in a minor key...

Don't forget the recital!
I have a jury coming up at school, so you would think that I would have something ready to go. But everything seems to be in a ragged, unfinished condition.

Can you submit more than one piece?
I've currently got three different pieces coming together now.
I doubt I'll get recordings for all three in a form for a recital but there is a decent chance I'll get recordings from two of them appropriate for a recital.
I'm probably missing something super obvious, is there a recital FAQ and necessary info I can read somewhere?

No, only one piece for the quarterly recital. You can submit more on the themed recitals though. There is more info in the link on the first post of this thread.
